MP3 FILES BEING MOVED TO LOST.DIR FOLDER

image from softicons.com
Have you experienced saving some mp3 files to your sdcard particularly on 32Gb sizes that whenever you restart your phone those saved files are gone?

Actually they are not totally gone but are renamed and placed in your Lost.Dir folder found on your sdcard.

As I tried to look out for solutions so far the only effective way to get rid of that being renamed and transferred to mentioned folder is by formatting your sdcard.

xposed_framework_app
Make sure to get the proper xposed zip file for your device to make this work. Let me show you again another tutorial on how to install the xposed framework tested on Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5s ZE550KL Asus Z00LD running on lollipop.

You can also follow the steps if you happen to run on lollipop or marshmallow versions, just check some notes from author if your device is compatible as he mentioned some devices having some problems using the xposed framework check link from thread below.

Using xposed framework you can do a lot of customization to your device just by going into its download section once you properly installed it into your device.

HOW TO PARTITION SDCARD VIA TWRP

twrp_partition_sd_card
This is just a supplement into partitioning your sdcard via minitool, you may try this if it will work out for your android devices in case you don't want to use the minitool partition method via pc.

Again not all devices will be able to read your sdcard after partitioning through TWRP but will be detected when using your computer but on your device it will detect as Microsd on 0Mb and will require to reformat to be usable again.

Disclaimer: I am not held responsible if you destroy your sdcard or selected your internal memory deleting all your installed apps or datas, do it at your own risk as I also did when I partitioned my sdcard using TWRP.

Things needed:
1. A rooted phone or unlocked bootloader
2. TWRP flashed to your device

note:
-tutorial on how to unlock bootloader here.
-tutorial on how to flash TWRP here.

Steps:
1. Boot into twrp recovery (volume down+power)-check your device if its on volume up+power.

2. Simply click the advance tab.
advanced

3. Select Partition Sd card.

4. Choose your storage (warning! make sure you selected microsd not your internal storage)
microsd

5. Now set the extension size you wish to extend like 2gb, 3gb and so on (for this tutorial since I have a 32gb microsd I chose 8gb). This size will be alloted for your device when installing apps as extension to free up your internal memory from too much datas installed.
extension_size

6. Just input 0 on swap size as most experts say this is not needed by your device.

7. Select ext3 or ext4, depending on your device just make some trial and error which extension will be readable to your device.

8. Wait until it says partitioning complete.
complete!

9. Congrats! You just partitioned your sdcard for your android device.

10. Now check if your device can read your newly partition sdcard.

note: tested this for asus zenfone 2 laser 5.5s ze550kl asus z00ld but could not be read by the device so minitool partiton was used instead here.

HOW TO CREATE A STOCK ROM BACK UP VIA TWRP

back_up_files
Here's another short tutorial on making back up stock rom using your TWRP. After rooting your device, unlocking your bootloader and flashing TWRP/CWM comes the most important part which is to make a stock rom backup.

You may wish to leave those bloatware apps when making back up as your 1st option then try to delete those bloatwares and make another backup as your 2nd option.

So whatever custom recovery you may have in your device such as TWRP/CWM then you may proceed immediately to create those backup files for recovery purposes in the future.

HOW TO PARTITION YOUR SDCARD VIA MINITOOL

minitool_partition
Just a short tutorial on how to partition your sdcard using minitool partition.

I tested before using TWRP from advance feature on sdcard partition but after selecting EXT3 or EXT4 it can not be detected by Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5s and just show as 0 or emtpy or blank external storage.
