HOW TO ROOT ASUS ZENFONE 2 LASER 5.5s (ZE550KL) MARSHMALLOW 6.0.1

Marshmallow_root_access
Thanks to Chainfire who developed Superuser app that we can use to grant us root access to our device so we can get rid of those bloatware apps pre-installed.

After the upgrade to Marshmallow and reverting back to Lollipop then going back to M trial and error steps, I also tried to root my upgraded M 6.0.1 version and finally came up with a solution since my root access was removed after the update.

If you miss out my post on how to install update via adb sideload you may check it out here.

Decide if you wish not to install custom recovery.img like TWRP to your device then you may try directly the "adb sideload" command to install the zip file SuperSu, just boot to recovery and select "apply update from ADB" before typing your "adb sideload" command.(Retested with Magisk.zip on a stock recovery but get installation abort error)

BOOTLOOP FIX VIA ADB SIDELOAD FOR ASUS ZENFONE 2 LASER 5.5s (ZE550KL)

After upgrading to the latest Marshmallow version, I have tested to find out a way to revert back to Lollipop version but ended up "bootlooped" instead, after trying to flash back TWRP via adb and restoring my backup zip files that was rooted before.

It does not end from Asus logo rather it can open up to the homepage but keeps on restarting back to Asus logo, so I did found a solution whenever you encounter such problem you can easily use ADB sideload.

Whatever problem you may have like stuck on logo, auto reboot etc this will be a good fix to your device and be back to normal as I tackle below on how to recover back your device from such errors.

At the end of this tutorial I will show you some scenarios that I tried but got some errors for your reference only.

ASUS ZENFONE 2 LASER 5.5s (ZE550KL) MARSHMALLOW 6.0.1 UPGRADE

This tutorial is for Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5s (ZE550KL)-Z00LD marshmallow upgrade from my current Lollipop version which was rooted via Kingroot app.

Since I'm already rooted I would no longer be able to access auto update via system update but would simply do the upgrade manually.

If your phone is not rooted then simply download the chosen firmware of your liking and just save it to your internal storage by transferring through PC after download.

JAVA FIX FOR WINDOWS

OracleI was about to reinstall my MultiDoge desktop client when suddenly it gave me an error on Java not found. I did tried to reinstall my java but it seems it did not resolve the problem.

Take note that other programs like Android SDK tools will require you to have java installed to your computer so you can manage to customize apk from your android device and other stuff.

Let me share then a quick fix so your computer would be able to recognize the java version installed via the use of CMD.

If java is not yet installed you may go to their site.
